Hi Speed Camera-based Club and Ball Analysis at 720PFS

Quintic Ball Roll is a state-of-the-art camera-based system that captures club and ball data at an impressive 720 frames per second. It is the leading putting technology on the PGA Tour and is used by all major club manufacturers for research and development testing and club fittings.

One of the standout features of Quintic Ball Roll is its color-coordinated system, which makes it easy for players to follow along and for instructors to quickly identify what is happening. It provides a wealth of information about your putting stroke and how your golf ball rolls, including club speed, ball speed, launch angle, clubface position, club path, forward roll, side spin, lie angle, and much more. I like to think of it as the Trackman of putting.

Below is a list of a few of the key factors that affect your golf ball performance in putting.

Club Face 92% of direction is caused by your club face position; a ball that is hit with a clubface that is open or closed 1 degree will miss from 10 feet

Attack Angle Is important to be level at impact, ball position, weight distribution and length of putter all have an effect on attack angle

Club Twist Is how much your club is opening or closing as you make contact with the ball, in other words, how stable is your club at impact

Launch Angle Is the degree up or down the ball leaves the face; attack angle, club loft, center of gravity, centerness of contact and ball position all effect your golf balls launch angle

Forward Roll / Side Spin Is affected by the above; I tell all my players I’d like to see their forward spin between 30-50 rpm and side spin less than 10 rpm

Learn from Quintic Ball Roll

I use Quintic Ball Roll for all of my putter fittings and lessons. This innovative device captures club and ball data using a 720-fps high-speed camera, and also uses stickers on the club that do not affect swing weight or feel.

I have found that Quintic Ball Roll is the only device that consistently delivers accurate and reliable ball roll numbers. When working with players who are learning or being fit on other putting devices, I often see the same issues with poor ball roll numbers. This is why many players seek additional help - they know they are stroking it to the best of their ability and a putter that is fit to their body, but they struggle to make putts.

Quintic Ball Roll allows me to identify the root cause of these issues and make adjustments to help players improve their ball roll numbers and ultimately make more putts. It's no wonder that the best players and coaches in the world use Quintic - when I first saw it in action, I immediately understood its value and so will you.

Can you make the line on your golf ball roll straight but still don’t make putts and always wonder why? Contact me to find out why!

Trackman Shot Analysis

Trackman Shot Analysis

Radar-Based Swing & Club Analysis

Trackman is a dual radar-based system — one radar tracks your club data, the other tracks your ball data. The advantage of this is the amount of data that it provides for you. There are over 30 data points collected, including impact location, low point, club head speed, ball speed, club path, face angle, etc... There are also two iPads used for video swing analysis using the Trackman Camera app. Club Stickers are not required.

Practice Modes

Virtual Practice Range gives you the option to hit chip shots to full swing drivers over 300+ yards. Some of the other features are wind control, up hill and down hill shots, force carries and situations such as around or over trees. It also provides basic data points for additional feedback.

Repeat Practice allows you to practice the same shot over and over again. You can do this on your favorite course or least favorite shot to improve.

No matter what type of shot you want to practice, you are able to customize all types of course conditions.

Always wonder what it would be like to play the 17th hole at PGA National from the pro tees in 35mph winds? Or planning a trip to play one of the world renown courses and would like to practice a certain hole or shot before you play? These are all options in Trackman practice mode.

Trackman offers 220+ world renowned virtual courses. It also provides basic data points for additional feedback. I like the virtual golf to practice a course before playing the real thing or getting together with a few friends for fun.

Club and Ball Data from Refine Software

Camera-based Swing & Club Analysis

Uneekor is a camera-based system with two cameras for club data and two cameras for swing analysis. Uneekor comes with their View software, and I added their Swing Optix camera system. The advantage of this is the visual it gives you of your club and ball data, as well as 120-frame per second cameras for HD swing analysis. While Uneekor does not collect as many data points as Trackman, the detail and accuracy of the visuals are a useful tool in coaching students. One feature is the video of the club moving through impact showing exact club path and impact location. Club stickers are required for the most accurate readings.
